Christian Religious Education is the study of God’s self-revelation to humankind through personal experiences, the scriptures, the life and Ministry of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. In senior school, CRE as a learning area will equip the learners with values such as chastity, love, respect, obedience, kindness, patience, integrity and responsibility., will also equip learners with skills such as praying, meditating on scriptures, interpreting scriptures, leadership skills, self-awareness, self-esteem, assertiveness, self-control and decision-making. This book will produce a learner who is ethical, innovative, creative and a critical thinker, and who can participate in the global platform.

CRE as a subject will also prepare the learner For careers such as law, Christian ministry, teaching, counselling, administration, author, charity work, child and youth worker, clergy person, chaplain, pastoral counsellor, community centre director, community developer, diplomat, entrepreneur, foreign service worker, lobbyist, media correspondent, mediator, missionary, non-profit administrator, religious rights advocate, researcher or a social service worker among others.
